Jean Hill Lazarony–that brilliant, beautiful, creative, loving lady with piercing blue eyes, blond hair and a razor sharp wit, passed away on the morning of Saturday, June 13, 2015 after 12+ years of battling Alzheimer’s disease.
The long goodbye is finally over.
Isabelle Jean Stewart Hill was born on September 14, 1931 in Claymont, Delaware. Jean and David Lazarony were married on Jean’s birthday in 1963; she was a loving Wife and Mother for nearly 52 years. Jean was 83 years old and living in the memory care wing of Advent Square, a lovely assisted living facility, in Boca Raton, Florida.
Jean is survived by her loving husband Dave, her son David and his wife Barbara (Young), her sons Paul and Alan, and her daughters Lucy and Laura. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Isabelle (Stewart) Hill and survived by her brother Thomas Hill and his wife Alice, her brother Joseph Hill and his wife Eva, and her sister Margaret (Hill) and her husband Jim Symmonds.
Jean was a Registered Nurse and a consummate caregiver. She started out working with a group of OBGYNs in Sandusky, Ohio by helping babies come into this world and ended her career as a Hospice nurse in South Florida working for Hospice by the Sea, helping the dying and their families cope with the end-of-life.
Jean’s family will miss her dearly, and we are glad she is finally at peace.
