Jean Hansen Watson, 77, of Wolcott passed away peacefully while surrounded by the love of her family at home on Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was the widow of James H. Watson Sr. Jean was born in Waterbury, January 8, 1944, the daughter of the late Theodore and Ruth (Ringenberg) Hansen.
Jean was a graduate of The Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1964. She spent the early portion of her career as a private duty RN at Waterbury Hospital. Always a devoted police supporter, Jean and her husband, former Wolcott Police Chief Watson, were members of the Blue Knights of CT, Chapter 1. She was the first female motorcycle rider for that chapter. She and Jim went on many vacations on their motorcycle. In their earlier years, Jean and her family would vacation in their “Pop-Up” camper. Many laughs and wonderful memories were made as a family.

She created her daughter Diane’s bridal party gowns as well. She also crafted an Army Nurse Doll that was on display in the Waterbury Hospital lobby for many years.
Left to cherish her love and memory are her son James Watson Jr. of Waterbury, daughter Diane Watson of Wolcott and grandson Brandon of Wolcott as well as her brother Donald Hansen of Prospect. Jean was predeceased by her husband Jim and beloved daughter Christine Watson.
