Jean Frances (Battistoni) O’Meara, 55, a lifelong resident of Winsted, wife of Daniel B. O’Meara, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital with family members by her side. Born on September 27, 1954, in Torrington, CT, Jean was the daughter of Frances (Strobak) Battistioni and the late Ernest M. Battistoni. She grew up in town, right across the street from St. Anthony School where she and her siblings walked home daily for lunch. Jean worked 30 years as a property manager for Equity Management. While there, she became a member of the Winchester Housing Authority’s Board of Directors. Jean quietly touched the lives of so many people with her generosity, kindness, and compassion.
