Jean E. Becker Celmer Brack, 84 of Caldwell, passed away at her home on Friday, November 4, 2011 of natural causes.

Jean was born March 13, 1927 in Belleville, Illinois, the eldest of two children of Henry and Meta Becker. She was raised and educated in Belleville.

Jean met Leonard “Spud” Celmer of Homedale, Idaho at a USO dance. They married in February of 1945 and to this union were born two children, Leonard, Jr. “Lee” and Donna. After the war, the family moved to Caldwell, Idaho. Jean and Spud later divorced.

Jean worked for many years as a cosmetologist and had a very large & loyal clientele. She married LW Brack in April of 1970. They later moved to Ontario, Oregon and then to Pendleton where she worked for The Bon Marche and The Emporium. Whatever the job, Jean was highly competent and always rose to a supervisory position.

Upon the death of her husband, L.W. in 1985, Jean returned to Caldwell and her family.

In later years, Jean and her longtime companion, Chuck Wolfe spent winters ‘snowbirding’ in Arizona where they had many lively times with the numerous friends they made.

Jean is survived by her son, Lee (Shelley) Celmer of Caldwell and Donna Hemby of Artesia, NM; grandsons, Eric Celmer and Kurt (Suzie) Celmer, all of Boise, and Justin Hemby of Artesia, NM; brother, Henry ‘Bud’ Becker of Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouses; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Becker.
