Jean E. Stimpert age 89 of Freeport, IL, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport.
She was born Jul 31, 1927 to the late William and Mary (Long) Stimpert. Jean was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Freeport. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She worked for Fairbanks Morse for 18 years and for GTE for 28 years, retiring in 1992. Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed music and car trips.
She is survived by nieces, Carol Ann (Gerald) Gibson of Rochester, MN, Penny Jo (Roger) Schlickman of Mazon, IL, and Barbara Berman of Rockford, IL; nephew, Bill Stimpert of Freeport; several great nieces & nephews; and many great great nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William, Herbert and Raymond; and niece, Toni.
