Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Jean Mangum Killpack, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2013. Jean was born on January 8, 1923, in Huntington, Utah. She attended North Emery High School, where she met and fell in love with Jethro Killpack. They were married in Huntington on December 24, 1939, and were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on September 5, 1958.
Jean was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While living in Price, Utah, she served many years in the Primary, teaching the three-year-olds. After moving to Brigham City, she held callings in the Relief Society.
With her knack for numbers and organization, Jean worked as a bookkeeper at Thrifty Market grocery store in both Huntington and Price and later as a receptionist and bookkeeper at a dental office in Price.
Jean lived a rich life full of purpose. She loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing and used her many talents and skills to create a beautiful and welcoming home. She will be greatly missed, but her presence will still be felt through her legacy of love.
Jean had many wonderful friends and neighbors-a special thanks to them for keeping her life full of activity and fun. Jean joined her husband, parents, and two brothers, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Joan (Richard) Judd, Linda Davis, and Mona (Roger) Low, 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Marge Tomsic, James Mangum, Mamie Noyes, Donald Mangum, Rose Ungerman, Monty Mangum, and Carol Norton.
