Jean D. Brooks, 92, of Doylestown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2022 in her apartment at Wesley Enhanced Living, with her daughter by her side. Born in Middletown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maude (Gillen) Decker. Jean obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Counseling. She worked as a writer for national magazines, including Movie Life, and interviewed many celebrities. At WEL-Doylestown she helped edit & write the newsletter, and also redesigned the Hospitality Program to help the new residents feel more welcome. The program was very successful, and was implemented in other facilities as well.
Survivors: She will be missed by her daughter, Laurie Brooks of New Hope, as well as her Baha’i community.
