Jean D. Matson, 78, of Sheridan, died Friday morning, August 21, 2009, at her home. Jean was born July 16, 1931, in Spring Valley, to Edward and Frances (Piascyk) Kelish.
She married Sheldon C. Matson on December 31, 1950, in De Pue. He died on November 28, 2005. She was a member of St. Patrick Church and AARP. She was survived by a daughter, Terrie Matson of Sheridan; two sons, Mark (Colleen) Matson of Ottawa and Layne (Irma) Matson of El Paso, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sheldon; 4 brothers;1 sister, and 1 great-granddaughter, Sarah.
