Mrs. Jean C. (Tieman) Znaniecki, 83, of Peru, died Monday morning, December 14, 2009 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
Mrs. Znaniecki was born on September 8, 1926 in Spring Valley to John and Mary (Grozier) Tieman. She married John Jack Znaniecki on December 19, 1949. She worked at the Maples in Peru for 45 years through several owners.
She is survived by one son; Dean (Kathryn) Znaniecki of Moline; one daughter; Mary Kay (Larry) Sadnick of Spring Valley; 5 grandchildren; Jacaline Ruppert, Kenneth Manahan, Susan Roe, Steve Znaniecki, and Diane Norton; 8 great-grandchildren, Natalie Ruppert, Nicole Coutts, Kay Roe, Austin Roe, Jesse Norton, Kieffer, Levi, and Sawyer Znaniecki; 1 great-great granddaughter, Haiden Coutts; one brother, James Tieman of Spring Valley;
She was preceded in death by her husband John on December 15, 1987; three great-grandchildren; Vincent Manahan, Colin Norton, and Colton Norton; and 6 brothers and sisters;
Pallbearers will be Steve Znaniecki, Damon Norton, Ken Manahan, Kieffer Znaniecki, Jesse Norton, and Austin Roe.
