Jean Yates, 89, of Quakertown, formerly of Lahaska, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at her residence.  Born in 1932, she was the daughter of the late Clark and Alberta (Schmidt) Brinker.  She was the widow of James L. Yates, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. 

In addition to caring for her home and her family, Jean worked for many years as a bank teller, mostly for the former Solebury National Bank.  She also worked as a grocery clerk for the Delray Thriftway Supermarket, New Hope, PA.  In her spare time, Jean enjoyed keeping her mind sharp by playing BINGO, Scrabble, and crossword puzzles. She was also an avid bowler and participated in a woman’s league and a mixed league.

Jean is survived by daughters Rebecca Scampton (Rob), Elizabeth Yates (Wink), son, David Yates, grandson James K. Yates (Toni-Ann), brother, Kenneth Brinker, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
