Jean A. Hively, 71, of 304 West Southern Avenue, South Williamsport, died Thursday, January 14, 2010, at The Gatehouse Hospice following a lengthy illness.

Jean and her husband, Robert A. Hively, celebrated their 51st anniversary on October 17, 2009.

Jean worked for the former Montgomery Mills and the Christian Light Book Store. She graduated from the Montgomery Clinton High School in 1956.

Jean was a member of New Covenant United Church of Christ, Williamsport, its Cracked Pots women’s group and a former choir member. She was a 50 year member of Bottle Run Grange, enjoyed playing the piano and singing, cooking, baking, reading and collecting rabbits. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Born April 5, 1938 in Allenwood, she was the daughter of Ward and Lela McClintock Kepner.

Surviving besides her husband are her daughter, Barbara A. (Gary) Huggins of Duboistown; grandchildren, Kara S. (Rev. Nathan) Druckenmiller and Kyle A. (Kaitlin) Huggins; and a great-grandson, Landon Druckenmiller.

Jean was predeceased by her siblings, William and Milford Kepner and Mary Frey.
