Jean Arlene Jorgensen, the daughter of Omer and Bernice (Johnson) Amonson, was born on September 7, 1934 in Eagle Grove. She was raised and educated in Eagle Grove graduating with the “Class of 1952”.
On April 8, 1956, Jean was united in marriage to Rodney H.
Jean’s life was about her family and the family farm. She worked at various businesses in Eagle Grove.
Jean passed away Monday, December 14, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 86 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rodney on December 14, 2015; sisters, Bernadine Tuttle and Marlene Jorgensen; brothers, Lyle Amonson, Richard Amonson and infant brother, Orin Amonson.
Survivors include her son, Tom Jorgensen and his wife, Elaine of Eagle Grove and two grandchildren, Kayla Jorgensen of Houston, Texas and Kent Jorgensen of Forest City, Iowa.
