Jayne C. Showah, 69, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2021. Jayne was born in Queens, NY, on January 11, 1952, a daughter of the late Robert and Joan (Powers) Gould.

Jayne was a dedicated mother, artist, animal lover, and friend to many. Jayne had a vibrant personality, and could fill any room with laughter. She opened her home to many homeless cats over the years and donated to local animal shelters. Jayne found her passion for drawing at a young age. In 1968, her work was featured in the “Palette of the Zodiac” Art Exhibition.

A local resident for many years, she graduated from Brookfield High School, Class of 1970, received an undergraduate degree from Western Connecticut State University, and was a member of St.

She is survived by her son Samuel Showah and his wife Samantha Kepke, step-daughters Karen Samperi and Suzanne Walker, three sisters Betty Sassetti, Sue Boughton, and Nanci Gould, and former husband Michael Showah.
