Mr. Jaycarnous Barringer, 54, of 2112 Arden Place, died June 7, 2007 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Barringer was born July 13, 1952 to Willie Jaycarnous and Hildred Ervin Barringer in High Point. He was a proud 1970 graduate of T Wingate Andrews High School and employed as a long distance truck driver for over twenty years, eventually owning his own truck. He was also a D. J. for 1590 AM Radio. A faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy, he served in many roles over the years. He was an usher, a member of the male chorus adult choir, VLB and Sunday School Superintendent. In 2003 he was licensed as a lay minister.
Jaycarnous was preceded in death by his father and his sister Daphne.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Barringer of the home; one daughter, Sheryl Barringer; his mother, Hildred Barringer; a sister, Darlena Barringer; a host of brothers and sisters – in-law; his church family; and countless other relatives and friends.
