Jay Henry Jensen, 51, of Newton died on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.
Jay, the son of Henry and Donna (Ruby) Jensen, was born on August 9, 1970, in Newton. He was a lifelong resident of Newton; graduating from Newton High School in 1988. Jay was united in marriage with Jenny Owens on October 21, 2000, in Kellogg.
Jay is survived by his wife, Jenny Jensen of Newton; two children, James (Jenny) Jensen and Henry Jensen, both of Newton; his grandchildren, LJ Jensen and Kayden Jensen; sister, Christine Blomgren of Ankeny; and his extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vandi Jensen; and brother-in-law, Douglas Blomgren.
