Jay Elmer Farnes, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away on January 31, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village.
He was born February 12, 1922, in Darby, Idaho to John Russell Farnes and Ida Rosyliva Jacobsen Farnes. He grew up in the Swan Valley and Idaho Falls area and attended schools in Idaho Falls. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman during World War II.
On November 18, 1954, he married Faye Elizabeth Crow in Salmon, Idaho. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2007. Jay was a farmer in Idaho Falls and enjoyed fishing and camping.
