Jasper F. Jack Chapman, age 83, of Fairmount, IN, died Friday, August 22, 2014, at Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN.
He was the son of the late Anderson Chapman and the late Sarah (Patrick)Corby, born May 2, 1931 at Greenville, TN. He married Sueva Sue Wisecarver Chapman she survives in Plano, Texas.
Jack and Sue had three daughters who all survive: Lorena Bennie, Fairmount, IN Virginia Timbs, Fairmount, IN Diane (Dwayne) Odle, Muncie, IN One Sister: Marty Claxton, Fairmount, IN. Special Friend: Fran Milliner, Fairmount, IN and Step-daughter: Jennifer (Don) Love, Fairmount, IN 7 Grandchildren, 2 Step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Loretta Massey and Marynelle Ramey. 3 Brothers; Sam, Ed, and Luke Chapman. Jack retired from Thomson Consumer Electronics where he had worked for over 30 years as a machine attendant.
He also was the business manager for IBEW Union Local 1160 for many years and also had served as President of the union in the past. He was owner of the former Harvest House Restaurant, Marion, IN An Army veteran his hobby was collecting cars and dealing in real estate.
