Jason Craig Mattan, 38, of Phoenix, unexpectedly passed away on May 17, 2011. Born in Moline, IL on December 31,1972, Jason worked as a Satellite Mapper for Cox Communications in Deer Valley. An accomplished artist, he was a 30 year resident of Arizona, graduated from Saguaro High School and magna cum laude from Arizona State University. Jason is survived by his wife Brandy R. Mattan, of Phoenix; Mother Jill V. Mattan, of Scottsdale; father Joseph R. Mattan of Clinton, Iowa; sister Christy L. Cunningham of Phoenix; nieces, Amelia and Dailey, and nephew, Corbin, all of Phoenix; grandparents John & Virginia Van Velzer, of Scottsdale; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers and friends across the country.
