Our beloved Jasmine Mae Clure, passed away on March 29th, 2019 at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, Colorado. She was 14 years old and attended Brighton High School.
Jasmine was born on July 8, 2004 in Lakewood, Colorado and was full of life and happiness. She was a true Colorado girl who loved the outdoors and everything it had to offer. She loved camping, riding ATV’s and just sitting around the campfire listening to music with her family. She often would come home after a weekend with her dad, beaming and talking a thousand miles per hour about her fun times at Rainbow Falls, or wherever they went that particular weekend. In addition to Colorado, Jasmine had a special fondness for Wisconsin where she had been going every summer since an early age. Every year she would look forward to taking off with her dad to go see family, fish and of course frying up the fish in the family’s secret recipe. She always said that there is no better way to eat fish and she hated fish!
Jazzi was also mature beyond her years, in that she had one of the most eclectic tastes for music. She loved every genre, and there weren’t too many songs that she wouldn’t sing along to, especially when in the car with her mother. For many in Jasmine’s life, it would always turn into a game of Artist, song title, and year. Most of the time she would know the answers. Whether it was country, rock or hip hop and whether it was a 1990 song or a current one she knew her music. When Jazzi went somewhere, she would have an earbud in listening and singing along and would often share with her boyfriend Gavin. Music spoke to her and made her happy.
In addition to music, Jasmine loved art….. And Sharpies! Her sharpie collection is massive, yet her canvas was usually her skin, shoes or even her clothes at times. Whatever she was feeling at the time would be on full display and usually, it was a pretty good drawing or a motivational saying. She was far from shy and the more colorful her canvas was, the happier it made Jasmine. She also loved working on jigsaw puzzles and lego sets with her dad. They would work countless hours to complete their projects then she would display them proudly.
Jasmine was extremely giving and had a huge heart for such a tiny girl. She always gave more than she would ever receive. She always thought of others before she would think of herself. She would work part time at the daycare she went to for years to help with the young children. Jazzi would often take care of younger neighborhood kids and always make them feel special. Jasmine was a true angel in that she was always so caring, compassionate and willing to sacrifice her time for others. She’s a true testament to what this world needs more of.
Jasmine Mae Clure would light up any room she was in. She would usually pick her target and would tease or annoy them until they couldn’t take anymore. No one would ever complain however because it was Jazzi doing the teasing, and as annoying as it was, you would know that she is doing it out of love. Jasmine was one of the most special young ladies anyone could ever meet. She was a beautiful soul and beautiful souls are never forgotten. She was a beloved daughter, grand daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She will be forever missed!
If Jasmine was here she would say: “I LOVE YOU MORE THAN MOST I WIN!
