Jarrod Heath Williams, 34, passed away May 23, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was married to Wendy McDermott on October 18, 2003 and from that marriage they had two beautiful children. In life, Jarrod was a kind and compassion man. He was a Father and Uncle above all else – his children and nieces and nephews were always foremost on his mind. Jarrod had a great love of the outdoors. His favorite…snakes and lizards! Jarrod handed this love of reptiles down to his son, who now has three pet lizards himself and has already caught his first snake. His daughter had daddy wrapped around her little finger and with just one look got exactly what she wanted. Jarrod was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether it be a stranger or his family. He was head of maintenance for Best Western in Canon City and loved his job. Jarrod is survived by his children, Bryce and Madisyn; mother, Rachel (Michael) Chavez; father, Dan Williams; sisters, Lisa and Amber Williams; nieces, Emily Bryan and Aubrey Garoutte; nephews, Tanner Williams and Bradley Bryan; grandparents, Laverne Megel, Ed and Lucy Szpunar (Grammi & Grumpy), and Laurnell Betz; special cousin, Adron Williams; Aunt Debbie and Uncle John Williams; honorary Aunt Teri Stultz; along with numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his niece, Nataly Joy; grandparents, Howard and Colleen Williams and Merle Betz; and cousin, Christopher “Kit” Toliver. Jarrod was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
