It is with our deepest sorrow we announce that on Friday, May 22, 2020, our beloved son, Jared Wayne Uterstaedt age 23, completed his journey here on earth and has now embarked on his new spiritual journey.Jared was born in New Britain on August 21, 1996. He grew up in Newington and moved to Berlin in 2018. Jared was the happiest and most loving little boy who would affectionately and freely give hugs to his family and all those whom he called his friends. Not a day passed by during his childhood that he didn’t make us laugh or bring a smile to our faces with his incredible sense of humor. He loved spending time with his friends and cousins, whether it was playing in the backyard, going on outings, playing video games, skateboarding, or riding his bike.Jared had such a kind heart, and that is what we will cherish and miss the most about him. He was a very spiritual person who always looked for the good in others. He loved animals and was passionate about the importance of being a good steward of our planet and being mindful of our natural resources in order to reduce waste and lessen the impact on our environment.Jared was currently attending CCSU, majoring in Business Management with a minor in Psychology. He was deeply committed to his education and truly loved attending classes. He not only took great pride in attaining academic success but he also found satisfaction working part time as a package handler for FedEx.Jared enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching movies and playing video games, playing his drums, and especially doting on his cat, Heidi, whom he loved with all his cannot possibly express how much we will miss his sweet nature, his sense of humor, his passion for learning, and his compassionate spirit.Jared leaves behind his father George and his mother Deborah, his older brother Jacob, his grandfather Wayne, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Our hearts are broken but we find solace in knowing that Jared is at peace and in the loving embrace of his loved ones in spirit. We would like to extend our gratitude to our family and friends whose support during this most difficult time has been immeasurable. We could not possibly get through this without all of your love and kindness and so from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
