Jared C. Riddle, age 18, of Quail Hollow Road, Morehead, was born April 14, 2000, in Morehead, and passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, at his home.
He is survived by his Aunt “Mom” Kathy Johnson Adams of Morehead; one brother, Austin T. Johnson; three sisters, Brittany Layne, Emily Riddle, and Feby Riddle, all of Morehead; and his parents, Cecil Jay Riddle and Jannie Louise Lyons Riddle of Morehead.
Also surviving is a special uncle, Carl D. Lyons of Morehead; special friend, Charles Graham; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Michael Riddle in 2007.
Before his accident in 2008, Jared loved the great outdoors and was adventuresome and creative in his thinking and playing. He enjoyed football and baseball, was a song writer and especially loved his pets. He often talked about future goals and looked forward to buying land to build his own home, which he would design himself. Jared enjoyed his fellow students, teachers and staff, who enriched his life greatly, and traveling with family to destinations far and near. After his accident and the wheelchair, his spirit continued to soar. He was an inspiration to many as he fought his daily challenges. Jared was greatly loved and will live on in the memories of his devoted and loving family and special friends.
