Jannette was born in Lares, Puerto Rico on 11/3/1970. She is the daughter of Luz Torres. She came to NY as a baby and was raised in Brooklyn, NY. She is eldest of 4 children. Her siblings are David Torres, Victor Torres and Ruth Gonzalez. Her sister-in-law, Brenda Torres, was also a sister to her. We will miss her smile and laugh. She was a genuine person and will let you know what her thoughts were. She enjoyed fashion and would give her baby sister tips on how to do her hair. She loved singing and was so excited for an opportunity given to sing in a church. One of her favorite Christian bands was “Nacion Santa”. She suffered many hardships in life, one being diagnosed with end-stage multiple sclerosis. She fought till the end. An extraordinarily strong woman. The medical staff were baffled on how many times she would awake and look at her family and even try to communicate. She went to heaven to be with our mother on 3/4/2022. Her family was by her side in her final moments, and we were overwhelmed by the peace that radiated on her face.
