Jannette (Jan) Fay, age 89, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2016, with family close at hand.  She was born in St. Anthony, Idaho on March 23, 1927 to Herman and Ella Reed.  Her only sibling, brother, Gerald Reed, predeceased her. Jan spent her childhood and school years in Rexburg, Idaho.

Jan attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, where she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, with which she was affiliated for many years. Here she met her first husband, Louis Lambrou. Their 5 children were raised here and in Bountiful, UT before their divorce, after which she moved her family to Rexburg.

In 1968, Jan married Gould Fay. They lived and worked in Rigby and Blackfoot, where she was clerk of the court, active in local community events, and a member/ worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star. They moved to Boise after retirement. Married for 46 years prior to Gould’s death in 2014, they did everything together, very often with one or more of their children. They especially enjoyed activities that took them out of doors, including camping, fishing, rafting, hunting and golfing. They travelled to all the US states, including Hawaii and Alaska, and to Canada in their motor home and took cruises to further destinations.  Jan and Gould had an affection for each other that was clear to all, and Jan missed him every day after he was gone.

Jan was mother to 9, grandmother to 11, and great grandmother to 12, all of whom were blessed by her love and many caring gestures during their childhood and adult years.

Jan was predeceased by her husband Gould; grandson, Michael Lambrou and daughter, Anne Fay. She is survived by children, Marsha Lambrou of Boise, ID,  Robert (Elaine) Lambrou of Boise, ID., Rene Lambrou of Seattle, WA.,  Roger (Vicki) Lambrou of Seattle, WA, Margo (Bill) Pack  of Touchet, WA.,  Gary (Joan) Fay of Twin Falls, ID, Ricki Fay of San Marcos, CA, and Bill (LeeAnn) Fay of McClean, VA.
