Janis LaVonne Weston, nee Hamre, 86, of O’Fallon, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 in Troy, Michigan. Janis was born on January 6th, 1931 in Blue Earth, Minnesota.
She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Delmar Weston who was a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, and a former Manpower Management Supervisor for the United States Government Civil Service. Janis was an avid animal lover. In her spare time, you could find her feeding stray animals around her home. In addition to caring for “her pets” she enjoyed working in her backyard and writing, especially in her journal.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mabel Hamre, nee Doll; husband, Delmar Weston; four sisters, and one brother. Janis is survived by her children, Thomas (Natalie) Weston of Washington, Michigan, James (Lina) Weston of Swansea, IL; grandchildren, Sean Weston, Maria Weston, Jacob Weston; and niece, Mary Katherine.
