Janis L. Nemeth, 88, of 2601 Oakland Ave., died at 3:18 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 18, 2007) in Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Dec. 21, 1918, in Marshall County, Ind., to Herschel and Martha Dottie (Webb) Bolenbaugh. She married Alexander A. Nemeth May 5, 1951, in Teegarden, Ind.
He survives along with five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn Snider of Taylorsville, Ky.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan K. Nemeth; one sister, Helen Newcomer; and one great-great-grandson, Austin Martin.
Mrs. Nemeth worked at Ziezel’s as a beautician for more than 24 years and as a seamstress for 12 years before retiring in 1984. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, traveling, walking and riding her bicycle. She was an avid reader.
