Janine Kay Eckmeter Hall of Allen Park, MI. Born May 2, 1947. Passed on December 11, 2021 at the age of 74. Wife of the late Richard T. Hall, Jr. Predeceased by her parents James and June Eckmeter. Sister of the late Joyce (the late Ronald) Wagoner. Mother of Heather (Daniel) Sledzinski, Alison (Chris) Hammond and Richard T. Hall III. Grandmother of Elise and Ethan Sledzinski, Christian, Benjamin and Lucas Hammond, Emily and Richard T. Hall IV.Janine loved her family; she loved her husband’s family. She always laughed because she was never a “huggy” person, but she was generous and did what she could to support others. Janine had a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and two Education specialists and a doctorate (Ed.D) from Wayne State University. She loved the Allen Park Schools. Janine attended the school k-12 and worked as both a teacher and administrator for 43 years. After retiring from the school system, she was elector to the board of education. She also continued to volunteer and help at the schools through reading to the students and helping with morning drop off and pick up.Janine loved to travel and had been to 68 countries. She loved planning her trips and sharing her adventures with others, all detailed in scrap books for every tour. She was an avid reader. Tackling 2 to 3 books at a time and dozens every month. She has rescued and raised several Scottish terriers through the years, all of which she loved dearly. She had also began rescuing senior dogs whom she loved to spoil. Her precious puppy Harvey will be taken care of in the manner to which he is accustomed to. She will be deeply missed by many loving family and friends.
