Janina “Jeannette” S. Baran, age 86, of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born January 19, 1923 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Karolina (Klamut) Wesolowski. She was predeceased by her husband Max A. Baran in 1973.
Janina was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Taneytown, and a member of the Sodality.
Surviving are sons, Raymond Baran and wife Mary of Littlestown, PA, Norman Baran and wife Yvonne of Elkridge, Thomas Baran and wife Jeannie of Taneytown, John Baran and wife Linda of Ellicott City; grandchildren, David Baran and wife Stacy, Gabriel Baran and wife Angela, Stephen Baran, James Baran, Timothy Baran and wife Crissy, and Anna Baran; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew Baran; sister Cecelia Nedzel of Elkridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son Timothy Baran, and by brothers Chester Johns and Alfred Wesolowski.
