Janice Marie (Reupke) Tegland passed away at the age of 88 years old on November 22nd, 2021 in her residence area of Parker, Colorado in the Pinery. She was born on September 3rd, 1933 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
She attended high school at W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1951. Janice later attended college at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1952, and then she attended Richland Community College in Garland, Texas in 1977. She worked in several clerical positions in Corpus Christi, Texas as well as Olean, New York, and was employed in sales for May D+F. She also did clerical work for Douglas County Schools as a purchaser, and she finished her last career as an assistant librarian for Ponderosa High School where she worked for15 years before retiring in 1977.
Janice enjoyed reading, traveling, knitting, sewing, using the computer, and doing crafts in her spare time. She was also part of an informal group for women’s crafts called S+B. Janice also was a local representative for an exchange student group known as Youth for Understanding. She married Edward R. Tegland on January 31st, 1964, in Nueces County, Texas.
Janice is survived by her husband Edward Tegland of Parker, Colorado, her son John R. Tegland Sr. of Mexico, her grandson John R. Tegland Jr. of Florida, her daughter Kristina M. Tegland of Parker, Colorado, her grandson Jean C. Fennelly of Parker, Colorado, her daughter Katrina K. Tegland of Parker, Colorado, her twin granddaughters Jamila and Zahra Mezni of Parker, Colorado, her grandson Christopher N. Tegland of California, her grandson Matthew S. Tegland of Florida, her granddaughter Ashley M. Tegland of Middleburg, Florida, her sister Rosemary Reupke Floyd of San Patricio, Texas, her great grandchildren Haley, Moly, Aubriana, John the third Zoe, Anthony, Malia, and Justen (Tegland) of Florida, her nieces Kathy Floyd and Karen Floyd of Texas, her nephews Richard Reupke, Steven Reupke, and John C. Reupke of Texas, and the exchange students that she hosted Lars of Norway, Anna of Finland, Christian of Denmark, Claudia of Germany, Anja of Germany, Javier of Spain, and Arno of Chile/Germany. She is predeceased by her father Carl A. Reupke of Corpus Christi, Texas, her mother Blanche B. (Armstrong) Reupke of Corpus Christi, Texas, her brother Carl. R. Reupke of Corpus Christi, Texas, and her son Erik K. Tegland of Denver, Colorado.
