Janice Treat Ferree, 87, of Covenant Village in Cromwell, CT, wife of the late Robert L. Ferree, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 22nd. Born on May 15th1920 in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen (Larkins) Treat. Janice resided in Middletown and Middlefield, CT until 1988 when she and her husband retired to The Villages in Lady Lake, FL. After the death of her husband in 2001, she moved to Covenant Village of Cromwell. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Spencer Bradbury of Michigan and Florida; four grandchildren, Theodore Violissi, Jr. of Marathon, FL; Charles Violissi of Marshfield, MA; Rebecca Zysk and Sara Spencer, both of Apopka, FL, and five great grandsons. She is also survived by her sister and brother in law, Jeanne and Fred Norton of Cromwell and nieces Cherie Norton of Berlin and Jill Tierney of Cromwell. She is predeceased by two daughters, Lynn Ferree Violissi and Barbara Jeanne Ferree and one sister, Marjorie Treat.
