Janice R. (Ryan) Plas of Plymouth formerly of Shaker Heights, Ohio, passed away on February 27, 2021 at the Newfield House at the age of ninety. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard L. Plas. She was born on September 29,1930 in West Roxbury to Francis J. Ryan the “original voice of the Bruins” and Madeline (Brown) Ryan. She was the loving sister of the late Francis J. Ryan, Jr., and Daniel F. Ryan. She leaves her sister-in-law Leslie Ryan of Plymouth, her brother-in-law, Bob Plas and his wife Marilyn of Elyria, Ohio. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Janice graduated from Jeanne D’Arc Academy in Milton, where she made lifelong friends and Lesley College in Cambridge. She was a beloved 5th grade schoolteacher for over thirty years in Needham and Mayfield Village, Ohio. Janice’s joy in life came from family, friends, her students, and her beloved Welsh Terriers.
