Janice (Counceller) Orr 80, of Fortville passed away August 3, 2021, at Community Heart & Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born December 3, 1940, in New Castle, Indiana to the late Gordon & Belma (Dixon) Counceller.
Janice graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1959. She married the love of her life, Jackie Gene Orr on April 13, 1957, and enjoyed 63 years of marriage until his passing in 2020. She was an avid antique collector and dealer owning a couple shops in Indianapolis at one time. She was sign language certified and a supporter of St. Jude’s, Boystown and several similar causes.
Janice is survived by her children: Joel, Lee, Lisa, Aimee Orr and Ethan Brown; grandchildren: Israel Anderson, Michael Orr and Dillon Frye; great-grandson Quenton Anderson; brother Gordon (Shirley) Counceller and sister; Patricia Craig as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, her husband Jackie and brother Mike Counceller.
