Janice Marie “Jan” Crabill
Southeast Environmental Solutions
LAKELAND – On Friday November 7, 2014, Jan Crabill lost her courageous hard fought 18
month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jan was born on November 10, 1959, in Tampa, to Robert and Margie Stephens (Belcher). She
graduated from Hillsborough High School and lived in the Tampa and Lakeland area most of her
life. She was an owner and Vice President of Southeast Environmental Solutions where she
worked along side of her husband and son.
Jan loved the outdoors and was an avid saltwater angler, enjoying fishing from Tampa Bay to
Marco Island and the Florida Keys. She was a passionate advocate for marine fisheries
conservation as evidenced by her being a Life Member of Coastal Conservation Association and
President of the Polk County Chapter for a number of years. Her dedication to this cause inspired
other women to become more actively involved in the sport of fishing.
Her warm and engaging personality made all around her feel comfortable and her smile would
light up the room. She loved being around family and enjoyed the special times with her
grandchildren.
She is survived by her parents, her husband Fred, her daughter Susan Turner, her son Chris
Bradshaw and his wife Kasey, her step-daughter Krista Kontny and husband Scott, brothers
Donnie Stephens and his wife Berta and Robbie Belcher, and grandchildren, Cameron, Claire,
Cade and Peyton.
Lakeland at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
