Janice L. Bowers, 72, of Glen Burnie passed away peacefully on the morning on June 8, 2018 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake after being surrounded with love from her family and close friends.
Janice was born in Baltimore on January 20, 1946 to the late Lloyd and Bessie (Pilker) Willey. Janice was raised in Westport and graduated from Southern High School in 1964. During her school years Janice met a great group of girls who became lifelong friends they cherished life’s precious moments together and were there to comfort and help each other through the hard times as well. Janice retired after many years of working at Kuntz Inc. Janice was a loyal and faithful person, she relished in opportunities to help others and made the lives of those around her better. She loved to camp and be on the go traveling. However her greatest source of fulfilment and joy came from her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Velma, and Ruth.
She is survived by her son, Franklin David Bowersox; grandchildren, Heather Bowersox, and Hope Dew and her husband Matt Dew; great-grandsons, Hunter Hudson, and Maddox Dew; daughter-in-law, Helen Bencini; step grandsons, Jerry and Kenny; brother, Ken; sister, Barbara; her lifelong friends, Edna, Linda, Sandy, Carol, Kathy, Barbara, and Janet; a host of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
