Janice Ruth Johnson Swicegood, 72, of Statesville, passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2022, at her home, after a courageous fight with breast cancer.
Mrs. Swicegood was born in Iredell County, August 12, 1949, the daughter of the late Dwight Johnson and Ruth Lackey Johnson. Jan graduated from Hiddenite High School, and on April 9, 1971, married her beloved husband and constant companion, Allen Swicegood. She was a homemaker and attended Hebron Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband those left to cherish Jan’s memory are her daughters; Shelley Daniels (Eric) and Hollie Davis (Shane), her grandchildren (who will miss their number one fan at their sporting events); Kensley Daniels, Adalyn Daniels, Ansley Daniels, Lucas Davis, Lexie Davis, her brother, Ray Johnson (Phyllis), her sisters Wanda Reese (Coy) and Nelda Tallman (Clay), and numerous nieces and nephews.
