Janice Hutton Inman, 84, of Avon, IN, died February 1, 2017. She was the ninth child born to Fred and Maggie (Drehobl) Hutton in Bedford, IN. She married John Inman of Odon, IN, who preceded her in death in 1985. They were the parents of Jeffrey Inman, who survives, and Jerelyn Inman, who died in 1996. Also surviving are grandsons, Michael and David Inman.
Janice was a secretary who worked at the Crane Naval Warfare Center, Allison, the IRS, and the FAA. She worked at Avon Schools for 26 years and was a secretary to the superintendent of schools for 17 of those years.
After retirement, Janice wrote a book entitled, The Heartbeat of Hendricks Community–Our Hospital, a compilation of interviews with 80 hospital associates. All proceeds from the sale of this book were donated to the hospital. Janice and her late sister, Leona Jane Hutton Whittaker, then co-wrote a book entitled, Hutton Memories.
