Janice Glossinger, 56, of Otis, Indiana died Friday, August 28, 2009 after a battle with cancer.
Janice was born February 1, 1953 in Michigan City to Leonard and Dorothy (Marciniak) Maitland. She grew up in New Buffalo and worked as manager for the Jackson Fruit Market. Janice enjoyed baking, cooking, tending her flowers, creating Christmas ornaments and crafts.
She looked forward to Saturday nights at the Blue Chip and Four Winds. Survivors include her loving friend Michael Lombard, who was her constant companion for 25 years; son, Jody (Julie) Glossinger; sisters, Linda (Denton) Lowe; Shirley (Gary) Johnson; Cindy (Chuco) Garcia; Tina (Dave) Umphrey; Lori Maitland and Tammy (Vic) Upton; brothers, Dan (Margaret) Maitland; Bruno (Cindy) Maitland; Tim (Bonnie) Maitland and Kurt (Kim) Maitland, many nieces, nephews and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Larry; sister Katie; and nephew Brian.
