Janice D. Beyer, age 70 of Stockton, IL, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at home. She was born October 24, 1941, the daughter of the late Donald and Thelma (Stitzel) Rupp.
She was a 1959 graduate of Elizabeth High School and graduated from Capri College of Cosmotology in 1960. Janice married LaVerne Beyer on May 20, 1961, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, IL, where she was also a member. She operated Jan’s Beauty Shop out of her home. Jan loved sewing, crocheting, and playing cards. She enjoyed time spent with her family at their cabin on the Mississippi. There they spent time boating, water skiing, and going to sand bars. Jan also loved gardening and flowers.
She is survived by her husband LaVerne; daughters Teresa (Eugene) Magee of Stockton and Lisa (Todd) Hastings of Stockton; brother Gary (Karen) Klepack of Elizabeth; and five grandchildren Michelle, Brian, and Samantha Magee, Richelle (Zach) Stoneking, and Dustin Broshous.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents Steven and Thelma Klepack and Donald Rupp, and brother Steven ‘ButchKlepack Jr.
