Janice A. Savage, age 64 of Sanford, passed away September 21, 2018 at Covenant Copper Hospital in Saginaw, surrounded by family.
The daughter of the late Robert and Esther (Mooney) Colling was born Sept 2, 1954 in Detroit. Janice earned her nursing degree before working as a nurse at many hospitals in Michigan. She then went on to open her own daycare, Jan’s Little Angels Nest. Janice was awarded the Governor’s Award from the State of Michigan for the loving care she provided children. She enjoyed drawing, and had many of her political cartoons published in The Midland Daily News.
Surviving is her husband, Jack L. Savage of whom she married February 1, 1986 in Omer, Michigan; son, Thomas (Tonya) Richards Jr.; daughter, Suzanne (Justin) Marshall; grandchildren Austin Richards, Brady Richards, and Jackson Marshall.
