Janet S. Mitstifer, 81, of South Williamsport, died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Sycamore Manor.
Janet graduated from Williamsport High School in the Class of 1945.
Born November 26, 1927 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Harry and Mabel Bowles Schreiber.
Surviving are a son, John C. (Linda) Huyck of South Williamsport; granddaughters, Kimberly Metzger and Paula Moore; six great grandchildren; two nieces and a dear friend and neighbor, Mabel E. Gross.
Janet was predeceased by her husband, Max M. Mitstifer in 1976, her parents, cousin, sister, Mabel Bowles Huyck Wagner, and the Forshaw, Bowles and Schreiber grandparents.
