Janet Reed Overfield Spencer, dearly loved wife, mother, and friend, moved to her new heavenly address on Friday morning.
Born December 1, 1955, in Sacramento, California, she was the daughter of Richard Barbee and Joyce Leu Overfield. On July 15, 1978, she was married to Mark Spencer in Muncie, Indiana.
Her battle with ALS lasted over four years taking away everything but her smile, and her love for Jesus, family and friends.
Jan graduated from Muncie Northside High School in 1973. She went on to college at Purdue University and graduated in 1977 with a degree in Interior Design.
She also leaves behind three children, Katie Miller and husband Tyler, Warsaw; Ryan Spencer, Indianapolis; and Reed Spencer, Rochester; two brothers, Richard B. Overfield, Lebanon; Travis A. Overfield, Muncie; and one sister, Tracy Osborne, Muncie; one sister-in-law, Karen Lux, Largo, Florida; and one brother-in-law, Paul Spencer, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
