Janet Pearl McBarnes Mason, 94, Anderson, died May 31, 2010 at her residence. She was born November 22, 1915 in Pleasant Mills, Indiana, and resided in Anderson most of her life. She retired from General Motors after 25 years of service.
She loved her time in Florida. Janet recycled before it became popular. She enjoyed reading, fishing and the outdoors.
She loved her family. She is survived by her son, Michael Kristine Hoppes of Charleston, South Carolina; daughter, Kristen Dan Gray of Anderson; brother, Richard Joann McBarnes; grandchildren, Clinton Nicole Bledsoe and Marin Jake Brown; great grandchildren, Tanner, Cannon and Ohara; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Phillip Hoppes and Richard Glen Mason; one sister and her parents.
