Janet Lee Griffis, 84, of Anderson, passed away on January 23, 2021, at home with her loving family.
She was born on January 14, 1937, in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Henry and Estella Houghton. Janet loved Jesus, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to go to Canada with her husband Bill where they made many friends. She was great at telling jokes, making people smile, and never knew a stranger. She enjoyed walking around the neighborhood to see who she could tell a joke to. Her love for all animals will never be forgotten. She was a loving, beautiful, generous, caring mother who doted on her family. She loved the Colts and Notre Dame. She was a member of the East Side Church of God.
Janet is survived by her adoring children, Linda (Frankie St. Phillips) Griffis, William (Kerrie) Griffis, and Kenneth (Sharon) Griffis; 9 grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William “Bill” Griffis; and her parents, Henry and Estella Houghton.
