Janet L. Curry, 93
Okeechobee – On Monday, November 15, 2021, Janet Louise Curry, affectionally known as “Granny” passed at Hospice of Okeechobee Hamrick Home surrounded by her family. Born on October 25, 1928, she was the daughter of Carl and Virgil Croy of Dayton, Ohio. She was the wife of the late Herman Curry for 42 years. Together they raised their family in the Hialeah-Miami Lakes area before retiring to Okeechobee.
Janet is survived by her four children, Carol Smith, of Tallahassee, Nancy Davis (Michael), of Frederick, MD, Roy Curry (Leslie), of Orlando, and Connie Curry (Jack Burkes), of Okeechobee. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Terri Jensen (Brandon) and Wendy Winternitz (Joel), of Orlando; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Cameron, Harrison, and Elizabeth – all of whom she loved very much. She leaves behind many wonderful nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Gene, Butch, Jack, and Jerry Croy, all of Dayton, Ohio.
