Janet Jo Kastman, 72, of Ottawa died Sunday afternoon, August 7, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.
Janet was born September 12, 1938 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Raymond and Ruth (Horn) Kyles. She graduated from Ottawa Township High School. She married LaVerne Kastman on August 22, 1973 in Ottawa. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Ottawa.
Janet had great love for her family. She was an extremely generous person. In early years, she loved fishing, camping and boating. She also enjoyed hunting. Instead of working outside the home she concentrated on making a happy, loving and beautiful place on Lincoln Lake in Morris. After retiring and moving to Ottawa, Janet and LaVerne have enjoyed traveling and spending time with the grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, LaVerne; two daughters, Dawn (Dave) Watts of Braceville and Laura (Mark) McNames of Stillman Valley; three step-daughters, Kathleen (Doug) Fuse of Hatfield, PA, Deborah Kastman of Albuquerque, NM and Kimberly Kastman of Alburtis, PA; nine grandchildren, Michael, Melissa and Jillian Foster, Jacob and Justin Watts and Connor and Nolan McNames and Mark and Andrea Fuse; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Karen (Robert) Woznica of Moorestown, NJ and a niece, Rebecca Woznica of Cherry Hill, NJ.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
