Janet J. Karst, 81, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at 8:17 a.m. at Visiting Nurse & Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mrs. Karst was born on August 9, 1935, in Huntington, IN to Virgil and Chella (Howenstine) Juillerat. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Karst married Thomas J. Karst on July 24, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2001.
Janet was a bus driver for the Huntington County Community School Corporation for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she sang in the choir, Extension Homemaker’s Club, Sigma Beta Sorority, and active with the 4-H Fair for many years.
Janet is survived by three daughters, Teresa (Joe) Updike, Elaine (Joe) Carroll, Jennifer (Todd) Little, all of Huntington, IN; two sisters, Janice Schroeder, Huntington, IN, Jarice (Don) Davenriner, Warren, IN; four brothers, V. Kenneth (Linda) Juillerat, North Manchester, IN, Victor (Kim) Juillerat, Whitehouse, TN, Van (Kathy) Juillerat, Andrews, IN, John (Ruby Perez) Juillerat, Columbia City, IN; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Richard Karst.
