She left us too soon. The moment you left us our hearts were split in two, one side filled with warm memories and the other side longing to be reunited with you. We will hold you tightly within our hearts and there you will always remain.  We now come together to celebrate a life and a moment when an angel received her wings. Janet Elaine Bailey,63, left us peacefully and went to be home with the Lord on April 27, 2019. She was surrounded by those who meant the most to her in life and will be remembered in our hearts forever. Janet came into this world May 20, 1955 to the late Willa Mae Atkinson and Robert Earl Jarles in Springfield, Missouri. Janet is survived by her husband of 41 years Brad, two children Nicholas Bailey and Carrie Jo Bailey, and her brother Steven Jarles and his family.

Janet’s family eventually relocated to the mile-high city of Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Hinkley High School in Aurora, Colorado in 1973. After graduation, she worked at a local bank.  It was in Denver where a friend introduced her to the man who made her heart beat just a little faster and made her smile a little wider.  Brad asked Janet, “Are we meant to be?”  With her answer, they were married April 21, 1978. Dad mentioned many times that Janet was the “love of his life”.

The couple relocated to Nyssa, Oregon, where they were blessed with their two children Nick and Carrie Jo.  Janet held several jobs in Nyssa but had a desire to achieve more. With that desire she went back to school and earned her first degree in Business Administration. After relocating to Ontario, Oregon Janet decided to pursue a degree in Nursing. She completed her degree at Treasure Valley Community College in 1993. After graduation, she worked for twelve years for Holy Rosary Medical Center in Ontario. Janet’s “dream job” was as a coumadin monitoring nurse in Fruitland and Caldwell, Idaho. Mom loved getting to know her patients and caring for others.

Mom enjoyed a great novel, cooking shows, and reality TV.
She was blessed to have seen some beautiful parts of the world, from the canals of Venice to the Moai of Easter Island. Most of all she enjoyed taking care of and loving her family. She loved us unconditionally. She lived life with enthusiasm, always courageous, giving, and never complaining. Her family described her as very loving.

Mom left a fingerprint on our life; she had a smile and a sparkle in her eyes that would light up any room and would warm the coldest of hearts. Like a magnet to metal, her appearance would always draw you in. We will miss you.

I know I left a bit too soon

For I have a beautiful room
And I walk on golden streets
For I am not alone, I am not alone

feel what I feel
there is no more pain here, my journey has set me free
Here, violins sing all day
northern lights dance and play

I hope to paint a picture and frame this in your mind
I am not alone, I am not alone

I felt your presence
I heard all your voices
I saw your tears
I felt the tender touch
but most importantly
I felt your love, that calmed my fears
as I knew my last journey on earth was near
I was not alone, I was not alone

I am still with you
I know it is difficult to be strong
But if I had my way, I would say
Do not give up, write your own song
sing it like never before
You are not alone, You are not alone

So stop, look, and listen
pay close attention
to the details that surround you
and you will hear me
as I speak softly
I am still on your side
I will be your fighter
when it is hard to keep it all together
remember this, I left my fingerprint on your soul
For you are not alone, you are not alone
