Janet Bell Donovan, 91, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Superior Residence of Niceville.
Janet was born in Grady, Alabama on June 21, 1922 to the late Mary Ethel and Willis Vincent Bell. She grew up in Alabama and worked for the Chief of Police in Montgomery. After her marriage to Daniel on October 3, 1952, they resided for several years in England, North Dakota, and Colorado before settling in Fort Walton Beach. After Daniel retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1959, they remained in Fort Walton Beach. During this time, she worked for New York Life Insurance Company, retiring when her granddaughter was born.
She was a loving wife to Daniel Robert Donovan and devoted to her son Vince, daughter Debbie, and granddaughters, Leigh and Jana.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Daniel Robert Donovan and her brother, Willis Vincent Bell. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her son, Vincent, of Fort Walton Beach and daughter, Debbie and husband Bob, of Panama City, Florida, granddaughters, Leigh and Jana Miles, of Panama City, Florida; sister-in-law, Bertha Bell, of Birmingham, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends across the country.
