DURHAM- Mrs. Janet Chunko Shine passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion.
Mrs. Shine was born in McKeesport, PA to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Chunko. She was an administrative assistant for the Boys Club of Western Pennsylvania. Mrs. Shine was a former auxiliary member of McKeesport American Legion Post #666. She loved reading, sewing, cooking, and spending time at the beach. Mrs. Shine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother (Nana).
Mrs. Shine is preceded in death by her husband, William “Buddy” Shine; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Chunko; daughter, Jacqueline Shine; and sister, Joan Chunko.
Mrs. Shine is survived by her son, Kevin Shine (LaTrea) of Durham; sister, Barbara Jean Harris of Oakland, California; grandchildren, Sabrina Shine, Talia Shine, and Kevin “KJ” Shine.
