Janet Conway Sands, of Woodbury, passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimeré¢aa¢s surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday July 18, 2012. She was born on April 12, 1934 in Queens, NY to the late James J. and Margretta (Loures) Conway. Janet grew up in Jamaica Estates, Queens and graduated from Bishop McDonnell Memorial High School in Brooklyn, NY. She also attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. Janet married the love of her life Edward W. Sands on October 12, 1957. Janet was a licensed real estate agent/broker and worked for 10 years for Fileneé¢aa¢s at the Danbury Fair Mall, but her most important role and the one she was most proud of was that of homemaker to Eddy, her children and grandchildren. Formerly of Brookfield for over 30 years, Janet was an avid and adventurous cook and loved entertaining for family and friends. Janet spent the last 7 years in Woodbury where she was a communicant of St.
